$200M for Environmental Services at NAVFAC Atlantic


In late August 2011, the AECOM/EnSafe joint venture, Resolution Consultants in Virginia Beach, VA won a maximum $200 million cost-plus award-fee, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract for comprehensive long-term environmental services at NAVFAC Atlantic’s installations.
Both firms have extensive experience in this area, and have worked with the Navy on similar efforts; indeed, Resolution consultants is just one of AECOM’s joint ventures in this area…
They will offer architectural and engineering services, provide program management, and offer technical environmental services in support of the Department of the Navy’s Environmental Restoration Program, Munitions Response Program, and other similar programs.
Task order 0001 is being awarded at $342,578 for architect engineering services at the Program Management Office in Virginia Beach, VA, and is expected to be complete by March 2012.
The full contract runs for 5 years, to August 2016. Work will be performed primarily in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and Northwest Regions predominately in Maine (13%), FL (10%), MA (10%), IN (9%), NJ (8%), RI (6%), TX (6%), MD (5%), NY (5%), PA (5%), VA (5%), SC (4%), IL (3%), MS (3%), Washington, D.C. (2%), CT (1%), GA (1%), LA (1%), MN (1%), WA (1%), OH (0.5%), and TN (0.5%). This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 7 proposals received by US Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic in Norfolk, VA (N62470-11-D-8013).
