$30M to Validate National Air and Space Intelligence Center’s Threat Models

Jacobs Sverdrup in Fort Walton Beach, FL received a $30 million indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract to help the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) by laying out the key scientific and technical assistance required to validate its simulations and threat models in the areas of electronic warfare, information warfare, information operations, space/counterspace, and ballistic missile threats.
This involves coordinating activities to assure that:
- Correct data and models are used
- Threat-to-simulator/simulation comparative analysis is performed
- Testing of threat representations is performed; and
- A validation report is prepared.
Solicitation began December 2004, negotiations were completed April 2005, and work will be complete by September 2010. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH issued the contract (FA8633-05-D-2059).
