Small business qualifier Wintara-Salihi Group Inc. in Fort Washington, MD received a $9.5 million firm-fixed-price contract for Installation of a remote monitoring system in Baghdad, Iraq. Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2007. Bids were solicited via the World Wide Web on May 20, 2006, and 4 bids were received by the Joint Contracting Command, Baghdad, Iraq (W91GXY-06-C-0093). The Iraq Power Team operates as a Joint Venture (JV) between Salihi Group International (SGI) of Kirkuk, Iraq and Wintara, Inc. of Washington, D.C., USA who are teamed with a select group of companies with experience in the water, power, oil, gas, and communications industries to offer a package of Rapid Response Services to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Republic of Iraq.
