A pair of U.S. defense centers have issued contracts related to parts for Pratt & Whitney’s F100 fighter engine. The F100 is used in US F-15 and F-16 aircraft.
Soldream Inc. in Tolland, CT received a $33.3 million firm-fixed-price contract for 14,861 replenishment spares parts and turbine nozzle segments, each in support of the F100-PW220. Work will be performed in Tolland, CT and at Selmet Inc. in Albany, OR. Solicitation began February 2005, negotiations were completed May 2005, and work will be complete by February 2007. The Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center issued the contract (FA8104-05-C-0138).
United Technologies Corp. in East Hartford, CT received a $6 million firm-fixed-price contract modification. for 15,809 1st Stage Blade Outer Air Seal Segment sole source replenishment spares. Solicitation began March 2005, negotiations were completed June 2005, and work will be complete by July 2007. The 448th Combat Sustainment Wing in Tinker Air Force Base, OK issued the contract (F34601-01-G-0006-0990).
