InGenesis Arora Wins $110M U.S. Army Dental Staffing Contract

InGenesis Arora received a $110 million single-vendor contract to provide an estimated 270 dentists and other dental personnel to 10 U.S. Army dental treatment facilities in Georgia (Fort Stewart, Fort Benning, Hunter Army Base, Fort McPhearson, Fort Gordon); Alabama (Fort Rucker, Redstone); Mississippi (Camp Shelby); Kentucky (Fort Campbell); and South Carolina (Fort Jackson). The US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Center for Health Care Contracting manages the contract (W81K0408R0013), which takes effect October 1/09, for a period of 5 years.

Other dental personnel being provided by InGensis Arora under this contract include dental assistants, dental hygienists, dental oral surgery technicians, lab technicians, and endodontists. The company expects the majority of these positions to be filled by employees at these facilties working under the existing vendor. They will be asked to re-apply for those positions with InGenesis Arora. If additional personnel are needed, InGenesis Arora will find them via its candidate databases and nationwide recruiting efforts. Commenting on the staffing for the contract, InGenesis President and CEO Veronica Edwards said:
“There are incumbent personnel who are already in those positions and if they are there from the previous contract, we are going to go above and beyond to bring them onboard…We will working closely with the Army Dental Corp to determine what their needs are – and get those professionals in place that will serve the military men, women and families.”
In addition to the Army dental contract, the company received a $97.5 million contract in March from the U.S. Navy to provide dental assistants for naval military treatment facilities in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Washington. The contract also supports the 3D Dental Battalion/US Naval Dental Center in Okinawa, Japan.
Earlier this month, MEDCOM awarded 12 healthcare staffing contracts worth up to $48 million to InGenesis Arora to provide physician, nursing, and related medical services at Army medical facilities throughout the United States.
