The relocation of the Naval Education and Training Command and Navy Education and Training Professional Development & Technology Center is expected to require 50,400 gross square feet (GSF) of military construction and utilize 102,400 GSF of existing administrative space and warehouse space at Millington, according to Globalsecurity.org.
The term of the 5 construction contracts is not to exceed 60 months, with an expected completion date of August 2014 (August 2010 for the base period). The basic contracts were competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with 5 proposals received. These 5 contractors may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract.
