Everybody Loves a Parade!(click to view larger) HDR Architecture in Chicago, IL received a $10 million option on a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract (N40083-08-D-0065) for architectural and engineering services at Naval Station Great Lakes. The current total estimated contract amount, after exercise of this option, is $20 million. The Recruit Training Center, Training Support Center and Naval Recruiting District Chicago are located there. It is the largest military installation in Illinois and the largest training center in the Navy. There are more than 25,000 military and civilian personnel living, working, and training at the naval station. The base has 1,153 buildings situated on 1,628 acres, and has 50 miles of roadway to provide access to the base’s facilities.
