Blackbird, Find: up to $28M for Tracking/ Tagging Devices

Blackbird Technologies, Inc. in Herndon, VA received a $13.2 million indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity, time and material performance-based contract for training on tagging, tracking and locating devices. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $28 million. Work will be performed in Iraq (25%); Afghanistan (15%); Florida (15%); Virginia (15%); North Carolina (12%); Germany (9%); California (2%); Georgia (2%); Kentucky (2%); Colorado (1%); Texas (1%), and Washington (1%), and is expected to be completed by October 2007 (October 2009 with options). This contract was not competitively procured because it is a sole source acquisition by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in Charleston, SC (N65236-07-D-5612).
