Up to $8.4M for Harrier Cannon Ammunition

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Marion, IL received a $3 million contract to produce 25mm PGU-25/U HEI (High Explosive Incendiary ammunition. This round is procured by the U.S. Navy for use in the AV-8/B Harrier. This round uses the M505 point detonating fuze, complies with NATO STANAG 4173, and can be fired from any system using the M242, KBA, M811, or GAU-12 weapon. If all options are exercised, the total value of this contract could exceed $8.4 million.
