$134.6M in Osprey Spares Contracts As OpEval Nears

Hot on the heels of $27.8 million in development and testing contracts, the Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office in Patuxent River, MD has received $134.6 million in spare parts contracts for the MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft as it prepares for operational evaluation in the face of projected procurement cuts. All are sole source task orders from the Naval Inventory Control Point under a previously-awarded contract (N00383-03-G-001B).
Order 0036 is a $33.6 million ceiling priced order for procurement of Low Rate Initial Procurement (LRIP) spares for the MV-22 Osprey that will be performed in Fort Worth, TX. It is expected to be complete by June 2007.
Order 0037 is a $45 million ceiling priced order for procurement of Low Rate Initial Procurement spares for the MV-22 Osprey that will be performed in Ridley Park, PA. Work is expected to be complete by July 2007.
Order 0038 is a $37.4 million ceiling priced order for procurement of common spares for the CV-22 Osprey. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, TX (57%); and Ridley Park, PA (43%), and work is expected to be completed by June 2007.
Order 0039 is a $8.7 million ceiling priced order for procurement of unique spares for the CV-22 Osprey that will be performed in Fort Worth, TX. Work is expected to be completed by June 2007.
Order 0040 is a $9.9 ceiling priced order for procurement of unique spares for the CV-22 Osprey that will be performed in Ridley Park, PA. Work is expected to be completed by June 2007.
