$76M to ManTech to Provide IT Support for National Media Exploitation Center
ManTech International received a $76 million contract to provide IT operations and mission support for the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC).
ManTech will provide NMEC with data center operations, network operations, software engineering, systems engineering, information assurance, requirements management, configuration management, and project/program management support.

The NMEC coordinate US intelligence agencies’ efforts to analyze and disseminate information gleaned from documents, electronic media, videotapes, audiotapes, and electronic equipment seized by the US military in Afghanistan, Iraq and other countries with suspected terrorist activities.
The NMEC prime contract is valued at $76 million with a base year (9 months) and 4 option years. ManTech’s team includes Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) and several small businesses.
NMEC’s mission is to exploit documents and electronic media captured on the battlefield to gain insight into adversary intentions and capabilities. The center requires petabytes of storage and the development of document and media exploitation tools. ManTech will provide day-to-day operations and maintenance for NMEC’s IT infrastructure, software tools, storage, and application support.
