Up to $707M to Honeywell for Maritime Prepositioning Support

Maersk MPS Ship Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. in Jacksonville, FL won a $14.5 million indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract with a cost-plus-award-fee pricing arrangement for logistics services for the Maritime Prepositioning Ships Program, the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program-Norway, and for operational logistics support to engaged Marine Corps and Department of Defense operating forces. This contract includes 9 one-year options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the contract to $707 million. Honeywell will perform the work at the Blount Island Command in Jacksonville, FL (86%); aboard 16 maritime prepositioning ships (12%); and in six locations in Norway (2%), and expects to complete the work in September 2009 (or September 2018 if all options are exercised). This contract was competitively procured via FedBizOpps.com (solicitation number M67004-08-R-0001), with 5 offers received by the Contract Support Management Office’s Blount Island Command in Jacksonville, FL (M67004-09-D-0020).
