MTC Gets $10M to Improve Long-Range WMD Detection Capabilities

MTC Technologies in Dayton, OH received a $10 million indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) maintenance and technical support contract. The objective is to help AFTAC meet operational mission requirements for monitoring treaties and countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

The Air Force Technical Applications Center Maintenance and Technical Support contract shall provide maintenance, engineering, technical and logistical services for the current and future long-range detection program operations, maintenance, and system research and development. The Air Force can issue tasks orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may not require that maximum.

The location of performance is over 110 worldwide locations that collect records and transmit data. In addition, work will be performed at the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Air Force Base, FL; and at the contractor’s facility in Dayton, OH. Solicitation began May 2005, and work will be complete by July 2011. The 45th Space Wing at Patrick Air Force Base, FL issued the contract (FA2521-05-D-8008).
